The Arbory is an authentic vintage warehouse that dates back over 100 years. Before it was hosting couples’ happily ever afters, it lived a life as a lumber warehouse in the early 20th century. In recent years, the building has undergone a total renovation, transforming into a wedding venue that’s been inspired by turn-of-the-century New Orleans. Today, it stands as a breathtaking wedding venue ready to give you a party completely customized to your vision.

The morning of Alexis and Josh’s wedding started in their individual hotel rooms as they got ready alongside their parties. Once they had on all the finishing touches, we wandered around Chicago, taking pics with their entire crew.

If you would prefer to get ready on-site, The Arbory has a Bridal Suite outfitted with modern velvet furniture, a blush pink mural, and a private powder room. It’s a fabulous option for candid pics!

The pair got married in the Ceremony Space surrounded by their family and friends. While their floral arch looked positively divine against the coral-colored brick, the room really didn’t need that much work to be ceremony-ready. With the string lights, soft curtains, and vibrant greenery, it was already pretty gorgeous!

The ceremony space has a portable bar and lounge furniture, giving you the ideal spot for a cocktail hour. As their guests sipped cocktails, we snapped some pics, and then, we got ready for their reception. The skylights gave us tons of natural light until the sun set over the city. From there, it was time for hours of dancing! The Arbory has an open floor plan that you can completely customize to ensure you have plenty of space to celebrate with your family and friends and can accommodate up to 200 guests.

The Arbory was created with your portraits in mind. Once we were done taking pics across the city, we spent all day taking pictures illuminated by the skylights. There are also so many picture-worthy backdrops, including the plant shelves, the murals, and the VCR-surrounded bar. Be sure to take some pics in front of the front door, where you can get the bottle glass, statement orange doors, and tiled rug with the venue’s name written in black and white.

The Arbory is going to provide the basics for planning while giving you the freedom to customize your day however you’d like. You can pick a caterer, and they will have access to the fully equipped prep kitchen. The venue will provide tables, chairs, and even event security to make sure everything goes off without a hitch!
