Courtney and Harry are such a sweet, genuine couple. They wanted their engagement session at the Urban Cowboy to feel vintage, intimate, and romantic — exactly my style. As true Tennesseans, the Urban Cowboy in Nashville was the perfect spot for them. It has a cool Western vibe with a modern twist, it truly is a place that screams Nashville.
We kicked things off outside, taking advantage of the natural light and cacti for some cute shots. I love to get creative with framing and composition to add variety to a gallery. We played around with some fun prompts to get them laughing and feeling comfortable. After that, we moved inside to capture the eclectic, colorful décor.
Flash or no Flash?
I took some shots by the window, both with and without flash. I’m personally drawn to the ones without flash—they have this beautiful, moody vibe. And of course, we had to get some detail shots. The Urban Cowboy has this amazing piano, so naturally I had to capture Courtney showing off her stunning engagement ring.
Intimate Moments Captured at the Urban Cowboy
Courtney and Harry have this effortless chemistry. They snuggled up on the couch with no problem, sharing sweet moments and lots of kisses. I had them “practice their first dance,” which always gives me the most genuine, loving moments. We wrapped up at one of the bar tables, where they whispered and laughed together, making the sweetest memories.

I had the best time with these two at their engagement session at the Urban Cowboy. The mix of modern Western style and their love made for such a unique, fun shoot. If you’re dreaming of your own engagement session at the Urban Cowboy, let’s connect! You can learn more about my services on my website.
Hi, I'm jaimee
I photograph weddings across Tennessee and beyond, using a mix of digital, film, and super 8 video.
My approach is simple. I create space for you to be fully present, and I document what actually happens. Nothing forced, nothing recreated. You won’t receive photos that feel copy and paste, but something that reflects your day as it was.
If there’s one thing to know about me, it’s that I care about your actual wedding, not a version of it made for the camera.
If you’re planning something that matters to you, I’d love to connect.
