I had my eye on Lucky’s 3 Star Bar in Downtown Nashville for a documentary-style couples session for a while. The dive bar feel, delicious hot dogs, and that cool green-tinted window? I just knew it would be perfect. When Gabby and Coleman agreed to meet me there for a fun Nashville couples session, I was so excited!

These two are amazing. Gabby and Coleman are full of laughter, super relaxed, and they made it look so easy in front of the camera. I couldn’t believe this was their first photo session—they were total naturals.

Starting in Germantown

We started in Germantown, soaking in the charm of the historic street. The Nashville vibe was just perfect, and it really added something special to the photos. One of my favorite things to do with couples is give them prompts that get them laughing and connecting. I told them to “swing around the lamp post,” and it was so much fun—genuine laughs and sweet moments all around.

Then we moved across the street to a cute brick doorway for some intimate close-ups and a few editorial-style shots. These moments felt really personal and real, just the way I love it.

Next, we went to a cozy historic house around the block. These shots gave off such warm, in-love vibes, and I’m so happy with how they turned out. Of course, we had to stop by the iconic Lucky’s wall too! We took our time here, letting the moments happen naturally.

Inside Lucky’s 3 Star Bar

After we got all those awesome outdoor shots, we headed to Lucky’s. Lucky’s 3 Star Bar has such a fun, eclectic vibe—it was the perfect setting to finish off their Nashville couples’ session. Gabby and Coleman played a game of pool, sharing cute glances and laughs between shots. They also had a romantic slow dance in front of the bar’s signature green glass window, and it was so sweet.

And of course, we had to try some of the food! The hotdogs were delicious, and the drinks were amazing, too.

Gabby and Coleman’s Nashville couples session was filled with so much love and real moments. The character of Lucky’s 3 Star Bar really made the session unique.
