Acadia National Park is a stunning location for elopements! It is located in the heart of Maine, and it offers breathtaking views, serene landscapes, and a sense of adventure. Whether you’re looking for ocean views, mountain backdrops, or lush forests, Acadia has it all. It’s the perfect spot for couples who want a bit of everything in their wedding photos! In this blog post you will find information about eloping at Acadia National Park, so keep this in hand when planning your elopement at this amazing location!
When is the best time to elope at Acadia? The park is beautiful year-round, but the most popular times are late spring through fall. Late May to early October offers the best weather and vibrant natural colors. Do keep in mind that the park can get crowded during peak seasons, so consider a weekday ceremony for a more intimate experience!
Work with a Knowledgeable Photographer
Having a photographer who knows the park is really important! Each national park has different rules, and the setup can require special permissions. For example, during Kaylie and Alex’s elopement, we didn’t need a permit due to our setup and the number of guests. Make sure your photographer conducts thorough research and is familiar with national parks. I personally scouted the locations a day before their event to ensure everything was as expected, and it was absolutely perfect!

Hi, I'm jaimee
I photograph weddings across Tennessee and beyond, using a mix of digital, film, and super 8 video.
My approach is simple. I create space for you to be fully present, and I document what actually happens. Nothing forced, nothing recreated. You won’t receive photos that feel copy and paste, but something that reflects your day as it was.
If there’s one thing to know about me, it’s that I care about your actual wedding, not a version of it made for the camera.
If you’re planning something that matters to you, I’d love to connect.
