ToggleWhen you elope on Oahu, your primary concern will be dealing with other tourists. This area has gorgeous weather all year long, with winter temps in the 70s and summer highs in the 90s. No matter what season you pick, the temps should be fine! If you do want to avoid the crowds, I would suggest booking a fall elopement from September through November. You’ll get the milder temps and the lower tourist numbers. If this season doesn’t work for you, I would mostly try to avoid the holiday seasons as well as summer, when tourism is at its peak.

The next decision is where you’ll elope on Oahu. This island features nearly 600 square miles of breathtaking land, giving you endless options for your locations. Here are some of my favorites:

The best thing about eloping on Oahu is that you have a lot of flexibility on how much to spend. The marriage license will cost $65. From there, you will want to budget in flights, food, site permits, lodging, and attire. Most couples spend between $5000-$20,000 on their Oahu wedding.

The one expense I always encourage my clients to carefully consider is a wedding photographer. Yes, I might be biased, but I promise you, you don’t want to skimp on this! Your wedding is essentially a once-in-a-lifetime adventure you’ll remember forever. You don’t want to risk working with someone who won’t deliver the pics of your dreams. As a destination elopement photographer, I work with clients all across the globe to capture their journey. Not only will I be there to document every wonderful and romantic moment, but I can also help with things like location scouting, timeline creation, and permitting assistance. All you have to worry about is having the time of your life!

If you have been considering planning to elope on Oahu, I really hope this list helps you out! And if you would like to learn more about working with me for your wedding day, I would love to chat about it! Send me a message today to find out more!
