Why You Should Have a Wedding in Nashville
If you’re wondering why you should have a Nashville destination wedding, I’d love to tell you! There are so many things that make this town so darn charming. We have exceptional food, fantastic culture, and a booming nightlife. You don’t have to love country music to love this town (although it certainly doesn’t hurt!). With a Nashville wedding, you are signing up for a memorable weekend that your guests will remember for years.
When to Have Your Nashville Destination Wedding
The thing to remember about Nashville is that it is in the South so the temps can get pretty brutal throughout the summer. From June through early September, you can expect hot and humid temps. Definitely doable, but not exactly comfortable. For that reason, summer weddings aren’t super common.
Spring is a pretty popular option for destination weddings since the forecast is far milder and Nashville is downright gorgeous. I would just try to work around spring break since you’ll have to deal with big crowds around this time.
Autumn is another popular option. The foliage is beautiful, and the weather is amazing! It can be hard to know exactly when to get all the fall colors, though, which can make it difficult if you’re trying to plan your day around the pictures.
Finally, winter is a great option! It can still get pretty chilly, so I would plan an indoor celebration. It’s a fabulous time to take advantage of the downtown since the crowds are much lighter.
Where to Get Married in Nashville
Cherokee Dock: This is one of my favorite Nashville destination wedding options for out-of-town couples. This lovely Southern mansion is full of historic charm and scenic gardens. Plus, they let you rent out the rooms for lodging, giving you a convenient place to stay throughout your wedding weekend.
Belle Meade: This Greek-Revival home operates as a winery with some of the best products in town! The outside event space has stone pews surrounded by lush gardens for a one-of-a-kind backdrop.
Bridge Building: If you want some of the best views of downtown, Bridge Building is for you. The space is chic and stylish, plus you’ll have direct access to the bridge in case you want to hit up Broadway for the after-party.
Ravenswood Mansion: Ravenswood is an elegant mansion for weddings of all sizes. The exterior gardens are ideal for larger weddings, while the historic interior is reserved for micro-weddings.
